Summer doesn't slow things down at Struct.
While most of Denmark was on holiday, we kept shipping - new features, quality-of-life improvements and a long list of bug fixes that make everyday work in Struct PIM a little smoother.
Here's a recap of what changed in Struct PIM this summer.
New features
Rename assets without the workaround
Uploading an asset only to spot a typo, an outdated name or a filename that never made sense in the first place used to mean one thing: re-uploading it.
Not anymore. You can now rename an asset directly from the Asset tab, using Rename asset in the left menu.
When you rename, you choose whether the physical filename used in public URLs should update too - worth knowing if external systems or websites link to that URL.
And if you need to rename several files at once, asset import handles that in one go.
A small feature, but one that removes a genuinely annoying detour.
Enhancements
Webhooks get modern authentication
Webhooks now support OAuth2 authentication.
Struct PIM can request an access token from your configured authorization server and attach it automatically to outgoing webhook requests.
That means no more managing static tokens by hand, and no more workarounds when a service on the other end expects modern, token-based authentication.
It's a small change to the setup screen, but it makes connecting Struct PIM to external services and APIs considerably more secure - and considerably less manual.
Other highlights this summer
This summer also brought a batch of changes that make a real difference in daily use:
- Paste Excel cells into search columns as an OR search - copy 12, 13 and 14 from Excel, paste into a search column, and Struct PIM turns it into 12||13||14 automatically.
- Remember selected page size - no need to reselect it every time you log in.
- Upload folders using drag and drop - drop an entire folder of files straight into Media.
- Remember Media searches and folder navigation - open an asset, go back, and your search or folder position is still there.
- Support for AVIF images - AVIF now works as a standard image format throughout Struct PIM.
- Language-specific catalogue paths during product import - new Full path fields let you import classifications per language, alongside the existing default-language field.
- Edit columns in saved searches - adjust the visible columns of a saved search without recreating it.
- Refresh the category tree after changing a dynamic category query - the tree now reflects the latest query immediately.
- Display units for Global List values - units now show up wherever they're part of a Global List value.
