As product assortments grow, integrations multiply, and organizations scale across markets, the systems managing product data need to evolve as well.
February’s updates to Struct PIM focus on greater flexibility in data modeling, improved workflow efficiency, and small usability improvements across the platform.
Some of these changes introduce new capabilities, while others strengthen the everyday workflows teams rely on when managing large product catalogs.
Below is a look at the key updates released throughout February.
Enhancements
Support for metadata on attributes
With this update, attributes can now include metadata in the form of key-value pairs, allowing additional contextual information to be attached directly to each attribute definition.
While metadata does not affect how attributes behave inside Struct PIM itself, it opens up new possibilities for integrations and custom workflows.
External systems can use this metadata to interpret attributes differently, apply specific logic, or map data more efficiently when synchronizing with the PIM.
For organizations operating in complex commerce systems - where product data flows between ERP, commerce platforms, DAM systems, and marketing tools - this provides an additional layer of flexibility when structuring and exchanging data.

Add support for setting attributes available on products and variants in multiple catalogues
Struct PIM now supports defining which catalogues determine the attributes available on products and variants when working with category attributes.
This makes it possible for entities to inherit attributes from multiple catalogues, giving teams more flexibility when managing products that exist across different catalogue structures.
For organizations managing multiple product hierarchies, regional assortments, or parallel catalogues, this update helps ensure that the correct attributes are available exactly where they are needed - without duplicating configuration across the system.

Bulk update workflow state
Managing product workflows often requires updating the status of multiple products at once - for example when moving large groups of products from enrichment to approval or from approval to publication.
With this update, workflow states can now be updated in bulk, making it significantly faster to progress products through the workflow lifecycle.
Instead of updating products individually, teams can now select multiple entities and apply the desired workflow state in a single operation.
This reduces manual work and helps teams maintain momentum when onboarding large assortments or preparing product launches.

Other cool things we released this month
In addition to the headline features and enhancements, February also included a range of improvements that make the platform more reliable and easier to work with.
Among other things, this month’s updates also include improvements such as:
- Bulk activation and deactivation of business rules
- Better permission overview through grouped and alphabetically sorted permissions
- Improved cleanup of import reports to avoid timeouts on large datasets
- Asset folder counts that now include items in nested folders
- Improved search behavior for global list values
- Various bug fixes across the UI, API responses, and entity handling
While these changes may seem incremental individually, they contribute to making everyday product data management more stable, predictable, and efficient for teams working with large and complex product catalogs.
