Struct PIM changelog for August

September 15, 2026

Precision was the theme in Struct PIM this August. Whether it's finding the right asset, generating a reliable ID, or calculating a clean number, small inaccuracies tend to snowball once a catalog grows.

This month's updates chip away at exactly that - giving teams more accuracy across search, data modeling, and automation, with less manual effort required to get there.

Here's a recap of what changed in Struct PIM this month.

New features

Introducing the feature request portal flow

Good ideas come from the people using the product every day. That's why we've added a Feature Request button to our support portal.

It takes you through a short flow that captures what you're trying to achieve, and how big the impact would be.

The more we know upfront, the easier it is for us to prioritise the right things.

It also means requests are easier to track over time, so an idea submitted today doesn't disappear into a queue - it becomes part of a structured pipeline that feeds directly into how we plan future releases.

Enhancements

Grid edit support for list attributes

Grid Edit already saved time on single-value fields. Now it covers list attributes too, right inside your product list views.

That means multi-select values can be updated across hundreds of products at once, without opening a single product card.

Think seasonal tags, compatible accessories, or certification labels - the kind of fields that tend to apply to large batches of products and change together.

The fewer clicks that go into keeping those fields current, the more likely they are to actually stay current.

Asset file name search in PIM search

Locating the right image, PDF, or spec sheet used to mean knowing which product it lived on. PIM search now looks inside Asset Reference Attributes and matches on the actual file name.

Type in the file name, and Struct PIM surfaces every product record it's attached to.

It's a small change with a real payoff for anyone who works across large media libraries - a marketing team tracking down a specific product photo, or a support agent looking for the manual that was uploaded three campaigns ago.

Custom unique ID generator for attributes

Consistent, unique identifiers matter more as a catalog grows. You can now enable a unique ID generator on individual attributes and set the exact numerical or alphanumeric range it should pull from.

Every ID generated this way stays unique across your whole Struct PIM setup - no manual checks, no duplicate clean-up down the line.

It's particularly useful for teams managing internal SKUs, batch codes, or other identifiers that need to follow a specific format without relying on someone remembering what's already been used.

Truncate math function in business rules

Not every number in a Business Rule should round up. A new truncate math function lets you drop decimal places or clamp a value exactly where you need it, with no rounding involved.

Handy for tidying up calculated prices, specs, or dimensions before they're published.

It's a small building block, but one that adds up: cleaner outputs mean fewer edge cases to catch further down the line, whether that's a price that publishes with too many decimals or a measurement that doesn't match the format your system expects.
