Grid Edit in Struct PIM: Work faster without losing control

May 18, 2026

Keeping product data accurate should not mean spending hours on repetitive edits.

Product names, descriptions, categories, variants, assets, and global lists all need to stay accurate and up to date.

But when every small change means opening an entity, finding the right field, saving, and going back to the overview, even simple updates can turn into a lot of clicks.

That’s why we are introducing Grid Edit in Struct PIM - a faster, smoother way to update data directly from the grid.

With Grid Edit, teams get familiar editing features from spreadsheets - copy/paste, drag-down, inline editing, and pinned columns - but built directly into Struct PIM.

So you get the speed and familiarity of spreadsheets, with the structure, context, and control your product data needs.

The result: less time spent on repetitive updates, easier workflows, and fewer reasons to leave the PIM to complete everyday updates.

Edit directly from the overview

Grid Edit lets you update data right where you already have the overview.

Instead of opening entities one by one, you can click into the grid and edit fields inline.

Simple values can be updated directly in the cell, while rich text fields - such as long descriptions - can be edited with formatting options directly from the grid.

And it works across all Struct PIM entities: categories, products, variant groups, variants, assets, and global lists.

So whether you are refining product content, updating asset metadata, maintaining category information, or cleaning up global list values, you can do it faster without leaving the grid.

Less clicking. Fewer interruptions. More flow.

Update multiple entities with familiar spreadsheet moves

Working across larger sets of data becomes much easier.

With copy/paste and drag-down, users can apply values across multiple rows directly in the grid.

These are familiar patterns from spreadsheets, but now they are available inside Struct PIM, where the data structure, context, and relationships are already in place.

That means teams can handle recurring updates faster, whether they are maintaining product information, updating asset metadata, aligning category data, or working with global lists.

Instead of moving data out of the system or opening entities one by one, users can stay in the grid and keep the workflow moving.

The value is simple: faster updates, fewer manual steps, and an easier way to maintain data at scale.

Move fast without losing control

PIM grids can get wide. Very wide.

With pinned columns, you can keep key information fixed on the left side of the grid while scrolling horizontally.

Pin the ID, name, image, or another identifier, and you always know exactly which entity you are editing - even when you are working far out in the attribute columns.

That means fewer mistakes, a clearer overview, and a more confident editing experience.

Grid Editing also keeps changes local until you choose to save them.

The footer shows how many changes you have made and how many entities are affected, so you can review your work before saving anything.

Ready to go? Save the changes.
Need to rethink? Discard them.

This new feature is built for speed, but not at the expense of control.

Conclusion

Grid Editing brings familiar spreadsheet-style workflows into Struct PIM without moving data out of the system.

Instead of spending time on repetitive clicks, imports, or entity-by-entity updates, teams can maintain data directly from the grid with more speed, context, and control.

For anyone working with large amounts of product information, that means less friction in the everyday workflow and more confidence when updating data at scale.

Grid Editing gives teams the speed of spreadsheets - enhanced with the structure, context, and control of Struct PIM.
