Lomax is a Danish B2B e-com site selling around 50,000 products across categories ranging from office supplies to food and equipment. 

With operations in Denmark and Sweden, the company handles a highly diverse product catalog with varying requirements for data, compliance, and customer expectations.

Challenges

Lomax was managing product data directly in their ERP (Navision), which had gradually evolved
into a complex and inflexible system.

Over time, product data handling became a bottleneck:
  • Product enrichment was manual and slow 
  • The ERP had turned into a “monolith” with too many responsibilities
  • Upgrading the ERP was no longer feasible
  • Increasing demands for product data (images, certifications, compliance) added complexity

  • Enabling bulk updates instead of manual, product-by-product work
  • Introducing validation to reduce errors
  • Creating clearer ownership of product data
  • Supporting future requirements like ESG, certifications, and localization
